BRIEF OUTLINE: Students read a self-introduction from one of their classmates, then the class guesses which student it's from.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. Give each student the worksheet and have them fill it out without sharing their answers.
  2. Have each student fold their WS into a paper airplane.
  3. At the same time, have all of the students throw their airplanes.
  4. Each student picks up a paper airplane that wasn't theirs.
  5. Each student then unfolds their airplane and gives the self introduction written on it, except they don't say the name. Example: "I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. I like badminton, soccer and swimming. I have no pets. I like noodles and hamburgers. Who am I?"
  6. The other students then guess who made that airplane, correct guesses can be rewarded with a small prize.

VARIATIONS:

  • Divide the class into 4 teams. Read the airplanes yourself or have a student do it. Start by reading one of the items on the airplane, then each team takes turns and can either guess who made the airplane or they can ask one of the questions on the paper.

TEACHING SUGGESTIONS:

  • Make sure students don't read the "My name is ___." part!

TIPS/CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure all the windows and doors are closed when students throw the airplanes.
  • When throwing the airplanes, it can be helpful to have everyone move to the back of the classroom and throw towards the front.
  • Some students may fold their airplanes uniquely.
