BRIEF OUTLINE: Students play Broken Telephone to practice time.

 

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • Balloons
  • Small cards that are small enough to fit in the balloon. (You can have one balloon with all the answer cards or one balloon per answer.)
  • Clock arms with magnets on the back so they can stick to the blackboard. One for each team.

 

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. Place the teams into straight lines.
  2. Take the students in the front row outside and tell them what time it will be.
  3. They race back into the room and 'Broken Telephone' begins.
  4. Once the vocabulary or dialogue hits the end of the room, the last student comes to the front and fills in the arms of the clock. Teachers should write down the order the teams finish but don't correct them if they have the wrong time.
  5. At the end of each round, the first person who finishes setting the clock first gets to pop the balloon with the answer in it.
  6. A point is awarded to the team that finished first with the right time. The student who sets the clock will become the one to receive the time in the next round.

必要な教材

  • 気球
  • 気球が一個とカードが一つずつまたは気球が一つ当たりカードは一枚。
  • 磁石がある時計はグループずつ一つ。

手順

  1. 各グループは一列に並ぶ。
  2. 列の一番前の生徒は外に連れて行って時間を教える。
  3. その生徒は教室に戻る際伝言ゲームは始まる。
  4. いったん、生徒は単語または会話(時間について)を後ろ生徒までにささやいたら、一番後ろ生徒は前に行って時計をセットする。先生は生徒が終わることの順番を書く。でも、もし、生徒は間違ったら直さないで。
  5. 全部生徒が時計をセットしたら一番速く終わる生徒は気球を破裂できる。そして、正しい時間と勝つグループを発表する。
  6. 一番速く正しい時間を時計にセットするグループはポイントをもらう。時計をセットした生徒は外に行って次の時間を聞きに行く。
