BRIEF OUTLINE: Each student has a schedule with missing subjects. They have to ask their classmate to find out what they are missing.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. 1. Review the target dialogue “What do you study on (Wednesdays)?” “I study ~ on (Wednesdays).”
  2. Ask students to get into pairs. Hand an A worksheet to one student and a B worksheet to the other.
  3. Tell students they must ask each questions until all the blanks on their worksheets are filled. Demonstrate with the HRT/ALT.
    • HRT: What do you study on Tuesdays? (Shows the blanks on the A worksheet.)
    • ALT: I study math, science, and English. (Says while showing the class on the B worksheet).
    • HRT: (Writes down math, science, and English while showing the class.) And you?
    • ALT: I study home economics and P.E.

4. Ask students to continue in that manner until all the blanks are filled. Compare worksheets, check as a class.
