BRIEF OUTLINE: Students answer and make, 'Are you ~?' questions.  They then interview their friends.

 

MATERIALS NEEDED:

 

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

Part 1:

  1. Review the examples at the top of the worksheet.
  2. Students then answer the first five questions in the same way.
  3. When finished, students create 3 original, 'Are you ~?' questions.
  4. Bonus: If students finish early, they can draw a picture and complete the sentence. 

Part 2:

  1. Split the class rows into pairs. 
  2. Students on the HALLWAY side ask questions and the WINDOW side students answer. 
  3. Students have 30 seconds to ask and answer all 8 questions.  
  4. When the timer goes off, the students all stand and move one seat to the left or rotate according to your direction.
  5. Repeat 3-5 times.

 

VARIATIONS:

  • Depending on class ability, change the amount of time for questioning.
