BRIEF OUTLINE: Students take turns being doctor and patient, and interview each other following the dialogue on the worksheet.

 

MATERIALS NEEDED:

 

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. First, the JTE and the ALT will have a class dialogue following the example dialogue on the worksheet.  NOTE: Make sure to edit the picture to include your name). Then, the teachers will pass out the worksheet.
  2. The teachers will go over the dialogue. Students will fill-in-the-blanks of the dialogue. Students will then do the dialogue with the students seated next to them.
  3. After that, the students can stand up and take turns being doctor and patient until they have finished the worksheet or time is up.

 

TIPS/CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure to cover articles (a/an), especially for the last part: "I think you have a..." and "...a pain here."
