BRIEF
OUTLINE: Students make comparative statements and questions about various characters.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. Page 1 of the activity is pretty open-ended. You can practice having the students simply make statements about any 2 characters they choose, (e.g. "Conan is taller than Hamtaro," "Peach is smarter than Koopa," etc.). Or you can ask specific questions of the class, "Who is smarter/stronger/taller/etc, A or B?" and having students think about the answers.
  2. Page 2 contains 3 sections, the order of which is up to you.
  3. First, students create 4 comparative questions preferably about the characters on the front of the sheet, but other questions are also acceptable: Who is stronger A or B?, Who is faster A or B? etc.
  4.  Next, students ask the questions they've constructed to 3 friends.
  5. Lastly, students write their own answers in sentence form at the bottom.
