BRIEF OUTLINE:A gesture game where students guess complex emotions.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. Have the students make groups. Hand out the worksheet to each group.
  2. One person from each group comes to the front of the class. Give them an emotion from the worksheet and have them use gestures and expressions to show it to the class. The fastest group to answer receives a point.
  3. Change group representatives and repeat.

TEACHING SUGGESTIONS:

  • I wanted to introduce other expressions that they are not familiar with, so for the most part, this will not be related to any textbook so it's just for fun. These could also be used as a poster for an English room.

TIPS/CAUTIONS:

  • Can be embarassing for some students.
