BRIEF OUTLINE: Students review the days of the week by guessing their partner's identity

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • GuessWho worksheets: There are two options: 01 or 02.  Option 02 is for lower-level classes.

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. Students split into pairs. Have each student choose one of the four characters
  2. Students play Janken. The loser must say one sentence of his or her character.
  3. Students play Janken again. The process continues until one of the pair figures out the other’s character.
  4. Enforce a one minute time limit.
  5. Have students tally their win or loss.
  6. Have students rotate and continue the game. Each student can pick a new character if they desire.

VARIATIONS:

  • You could use this as a review warm-up. Also, you could follow this up with a class survey as to who else does the things that these characters do, then students have to formulate a self-introduction for the class.
