BRIEF OUTLINE: A 4-part activity consisting of writing, information gap, and Battleship games.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. Hand out the worksheets. Go over the first two examples in the "Example section" with the class.
  2. Have them do "Part 1" on their own. They must fill in the missing 'be' and 'ing' verbs.
  3. For "Part 2," have the students write 2 complete sentences using the pictures.
  4. "Part 3" is the game Battleship . Students play Battleship for about 15 mins.
  5. "Part 4" is an easy information gap interview. Students walk around the classroom trying to find the missing information on their sheets. For "Part 4" there are "A" and "B" variations. Be sure to make half of the copies of the "A" variety and the other half "B."
