BRIEF OUTLINE: Students call each other up based on the slip of paper they receive.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. After giving each student a slip, tell the students to fill in both sides (A and B). Both sides need to have the exact same information.
  2. Then, tell them to tear the B side off and give it to the teachers. Shuffle the slips and redistribute them. This will determine who each student is calling.
  3. Students then take turns calling up the person on slip B and roleplay the conversation.

TEACHING SUGGESTIONS:

  • Encourage them to have different activities, otherwise everyone will just be "Let's go shopping."

TIPS/CAUTIONS:

  • If students get their own slip, make them have a conversation with themselves. It is quite funny to watch.
