BRIEF
OUTLINE: After practicing the interview at school, students will be given a mission: Interview 'foreigners'  in Kyoto.

 

MATERIALS NEEDED:

 

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. Make sure your JTE is going to travel with students and that he/she approves the idea. 
  2. Hand out Parts 1 and 2 to your students.
  3. Practice the interview with them by telling them to interview each other.
  4. When in Kyoto, if you are not present( probably) the JTE will put the 3rd graders to interview 'foreigners' in Kyoto.

 

TIPS/CAUTIONS:

  • Though the volunteer has not specified how to do the activity, we advise you to talk about it with your JTE in advance.
