BRIEF OUTLINE: This is a simple writing activity for grade 1 students using the "There is..." grammar.

 

MATERIALS NEEDED:

 

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  1. Simply handout the worksheet and have the students write about the things in their home, city and country. When they complete the writing exercise, they can draw a small picture of them.
  2. When all of the students have finished, split the class into pairs and have them ask their partner various questions: "Is there a dog in your home?"
