BRIEF OUTLINE: This is a simple writing activity for grade 1 students using the "There is..." grammar.

  1. Simply handout the worksheet and have the students write about the things in their home, city and country. When they complete the writing exercise, they can draw a small picture of them.
  2. When all of the students have finished, split the class into pairs and have them ask their partner various questions: "Is there a dog in your home?"
